Hi Angelika, 
Thank you for your question. It depends a little bit on which pose they are in. In the case where the student is in sphinx pose, the elephant walks are directed slightly outwards. In most cases, elephant walks are applied with pressure rolling from the heel of the hand towards the fingers and in some cases slightly backwards towards your own body. But this slight, and the focus should be on fullness of touch so there are no sharp points - rather a broad pressure applied into the muscle, very slowly.]]></description>
